projectm Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 Hmmm wonder if it could be something... VINTAGE! ? 1
Bruno de Souza Lino Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 Subscription model for Luna. I'm gonna laugh the rest of the year if it's that. 1
PhonoBrainer Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 I just hope it's overpriced and proprietary. 2 2
Matthew Sorrels Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 Google found this:https://www.guitarworld.com/news/is-universal-audio-about-to-launch-its-first-guitar-pedal Seems like a reasonable guess. 1
Bruno de Souza Lino Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 Well, going by the pedal angle, it could be something to leverage those UAD guitar effect emulations nobody buys because of the expensive entry point to get into the UA ecosystem.
RSMcGuitar Posted January 26, 2021 Posted January 26, 2021 50% price cut on their interfaces would be the only thing to peak my interest 1 1

I'm in the UAD ecosystem and I'm not interested in any guitar related hardware they might produce. ? I'm perfectly happy with my 4 OCTO Satellites (2 USB3 on Win & 2 Thunderbolt on Mac). 1
InstrEd Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Oh no I made Fleer sad. I shall do some penance tonight ? Let us keep this between you and me Fleer ? 1
Grem Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Well I am a guitar player. And I am sold into the UA ecosystem. Knowing that UA hardware ain't really nothing to sneeze at either, this intrigued me. Now seeing them, I want them all!! Have not looked up the price of them yet! I wanted to write this first. From a guitar player point of view, I like the style in which they created/designed these pedals. Elegant and clean look, useful controls, and the demos sound killer!! Now let me go and see what they want for one of these!!

They said 399 so expect like 349 at shop .... was expecting a control'surface for luna or a new interface but when insaw the teeser 1176 like knobs i knew it was more for guitars players or new comp ... 1
Tony Carpenter Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 Pedals.. meh... I love UAD stuff, but... seriously there is a lot out there already and what there is is already sensational. Oh well.. Fan Bois will be wetting themselves I’m sure. From what I saw on the live stream.
cclarry Posted January 28, 2021 Author Posted January 28, 2021 (edited) You could almost get an Ampero for the price of ONE of these pedals... Nope...there are much better, and lower priced, alternatives out there... I think that they have shot themselves in the foot (pardon the pun)! Now, if the pedals also doubled as a UAD Interface, that might change things... Edited January 28, 2021 by Larry Shelby 2 1
Bruno de Souza Lino Posted January 28, 2021 Posted January 28, 2021 Only recently UAD switched from using the same Tiger SHARC DSP chip everyone uses to Xylinx Spartan FPGA, sort of taking a page from RME, which uses FPGA's instead of off-the shelf DAC chips on their stuff.
