John Saunders Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 I just recorded something on track #2. When I arm track #4 to start recording, it's including track #2. I'm recording with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo direct line in. Am I missing an obvious setting or change? Short video demo: http://somup.com/crV63AoiMQ Thanks!
0 reginaldStjohn Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 We need more information about your setup. Are you using the built in sound card? If you are they often have a setting "what you hear" recording option that will route the stereo output back to its input. Make sure that is not enabled. Try using a different input (left instead of right).
0 John Saunders Posted January 11, 2021 Author Posted January 11, 2021 Yes, changing the input to Left solves the problem. I believe the Focusrite is acting as the sound card, but nevertheless: I don't see any windows 10 sound settings that solve the problem: http://somup.com/crVXXrojpV
0 reginaldStjohn Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 Maybe someone with a Focusrite interface and chime in here since I don't have one. Somewhere, probably in the Focusrite control software, there must be a connection that is feeding the output that you have chosen back into the inputs.
