Douglas Kirby Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 There were delightful melodies played by the strings - my only crit would be to make it a bit longer.
Bajan Blue Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Agree totally with Douglas, bit more please!! Good stuff Nigel
jack c. Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 wonderful recording job i feel as if i'm at the met.jack c.
Makke Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 Pleasant sounds and mood... I liked the melody lines and orchestration.
kennywtelejazz Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 Nice playful mysterious vibe happening there w your composition . keep going and add some more when you can . Kenny
noynekker Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 David . . . nicely done, an interesting piece . . . it alludes to many things and styles in it's short little time. I found that if you play it 3 or 4 times, it asks you to open your wallet, lol . . . one of these days I might just do that, but it will need to be longer 1
Hidden Symmetry Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 Excellent David, thoroughly enjoyed it.
freddy j Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 I believe that this really captured the NPR flavour. As is, this would make great "bumper" music for on air use. Very well done indeed!!
Guest Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 I thought this had a chamber feel to it - could definitely use some development and definitely worth pursuing. Andy
Wookiee Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Nothing to crit as a really enjoyed it though it was short.
Bruno de Souza Lino Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Nice interlude. Something that can improve it is more dynamics, but without knowing what the entire piece is about, is hard to suggest how you can tell that story.
David Sprouse Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 Thanks everybody. Bruno I added some dynamics and wrote another minute. :D:D

Douglas, thanks for taking the time to listen. I've taken your advice and made it longer. I need to work on developing my binary ideas. 1
