John Moreno Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Hello. am brand new to Cakewalk and just got my Scarlett Solo. I followed the tutorials on YouTube and was able to record a guitar track a couple days ago but for some reason I can no longer record guitar. I can hear guitar through my headphones (plugged into interface) but the sound is very low and it doesn't register on the meter on the track I've created. The sound levels do however register on the interface. I have the input setup correctly for the Focusrite (using Left Focusrite USB ASIO Input ) and the Input Echo is on. It was working before but I'm not sure what's going on now. Please help! Thank you!
John Moreno Posted January 5, 2021 Author Posted January 5, 2021 So I created a second track and now I can record guitar (see screenshot). But I'm not sure why when I never had to do that before. What am I missing/doing wrong? Thanks.
Nigel Mackay Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 It is because the guitar is on the right-channel of your interface. When you tried on Track 1you have the left-channel selected as input, Track 2 has the right-channel.
