USB microphone issues with cakewalk

Question

Posted

I am just getting into music production and guitar recording. I bought a USB mic for this purpose, the TONOR TC-30 to record classical guitar and mix with drum loops. But whenever I plug in my mic and try to use input echo, I get this very weird, high pitched distorted version of my voice. Can someone help?

Don’t think you can use input echo as it probably loops back. You monitor using headphones plugged into the mike   If it doesn’t have direct monitoring then you need to get a proper audio interface

Welcome to the forum.
Yeah, most USB mics are used for podcasting, and this $35 mic is probably not the best choice even for that.
For best results, an audio interface and a better microphone are about the minimum for decent recordings.
This hobby can get expensive quickly.
