HIBI Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Complete the purchase but it does not appear in my orders and it's still in my cart... ?
Doug Rintoul Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Yup. This is weird. Site says my order was processed but it is still in my cart, and not in my account, nor did I get an email about it.
Fleer Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Would this be similar to Waves' Vocal Rider? Does any?
Brian Walton Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 31 minutes ago, Fleer said: Would this be similar to Waves' Vocal Rider? Does any? Don't have WUP...so no. Seriusly though, Vocal Rider is more of a gain adjustment plugin, and this seems mroe like a traditional limiter. Haven't tried this yet due to the checkout issues.
Doug Rintoul Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 If you really want this and it is not working for you to get it through WAProd, you can get it from Plugin Boutique. https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/54-Vocal-Processing/7167-Vocal-Limiter 1
HIBI Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Seems they were having website issues. I got a reply about purchase issue and they said "It should be in your account now". Now, it appears in my account.
paulo Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Might be a silly question, but is a limiter not just a limiter - why do I need a "Vocal Limiter" ?
mibby Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 (edited) This one is special. They high and low passed it so it's only sensitive to the area of the spectrum for vocals. Probably exactly the same thing Waves did with Vocal/Bass Rider plugins... I just got mine after trying a few times. Edited December 15, 2020 by mibby 1
Doug Rintoul Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Now I get three emails confirming my orders, but it is still not in my account. Good thing my life does not depend on this plugin!

Well all limiters are different. Haven't played with this one, but there are certainly things (saturation types and curves) and settings one can set that better serve a voice than some other settings and saturation types. It is simlar to why you see some "vocal compressors" it is usually about optomizing a plugin for ease of use to a particulrar range of the voice. Certainly not necessary, but sometimes such tools can be easier to use to get that sweet spot you are looking for on a given source. 1
mibby Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Oh hey! I just got a second one. I wonder if I'll get one for each time I tried??

The simple interface reminds me more of Waves RVox New GUI RVox was recently free so if you missed it this might be a good alternative. Edited December 16, 2020 by Lemar Sain 1
