I want to connect my TriplePlay MIDI guitar standalone application to a Cakewalk audio channel. The TriplePlay program gives me more control over the sound as opposed to using the TriplePlay direct input to Cakewalk.
There does not appear to be a simple way to do this, at least not any clear step-by-step documentation. I've been looking at ASIO Bridge, VBAudio Cable, Jack, etc. I've seen no documentation that directly addresses this. The loopback feature of my Focusrite Sapphire Pro 24 almost works, but it does not allow me to hear pre-recorded tracks with which I want to play along without looping them into the same audio stream.
Has anyone ever "wired" a standalone instrument/synth into Cakewalk successfully where you can record the instrument separately while listening to pre-recorded tracks?
