Yan Filiatrault Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Anyone tried this? Have we seen something similar many times before?

I liked the idea of it and bought it when it was on sale but haven't really used it much. The UI is a bit odd in how it works. The videos on the PluginBoutique will give you a fair indication of what to expect and you can also download a trial version. Here's a short snippet I made using one of the built-in Bach MIDI files. The bass and keyboard are using MIDI from ReMIDI, the rest are sample tracks. https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=13984146 Edited November 17, 2020 by ZincT 1
tom Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 (edited) Yeah I have this and like it. I love the idea of a midi sampler to rival an audio sampler and this is the only thing I have like that but it has its quirks. Unfortunately when you edit one midi sample slice it affects all others, which means it can knock out timings, etc of other slices. If it could do slicing up of an existing midi file and then each slice be independently manipulated, this would be fantastic. I wrote to developer and asked about this and they said they'd d consider it for v2 Edited November 17, 2020 by tom 1
Michael A.D. Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 I like it too. One minor complaint is that it can only locate MIDI files located on the C drive. Seems like this should be easily fixed...
cclarry Posted November 20, 2020 Author Posted November 20, 2020 Updated OP to include FREE upgrade to Version 2!
kitekrazy Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 I really don't see how one would need this using a DAW like Bandlab. It would be handy for a DAW like FL, Live, and Reason where you can't audition midi files,
Topcheese Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 I like it and the price is right, but I don't remember why I decided to wait on a Orb Producer sale instead. I may have to go with this since it sounds like there won't be any good sales on OP anytime soon. I'll have to see what's planned for V2.
