Amicus717 Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 I'm a bit skeptical of them, myself, and have heard mixed reports about them. But apparently they are intended to avoid the boxy ambience that leaks into the recordings made in small, home studios.
msmcleod Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 I've got one similar to this. It does reduce room ambience, as it helps to stop your vocal reflecting off walls behind, and to the side the mic.
