abacab
Interesting! But why no mention of it on the AAS home page?

Yeah, I thought it was odd until I remembered the last upgrade (VS-3?) where the resellers had it advertised before AAS. It is there now though ... https://www.applied-acoustics.com/chromaphone-3/ Edited October 27, 2020 by ZincT
Reid Rosefelt
I let the Ultra Analog and String Studio upgrades go by because I figured this was coming. When the next half price sale comes around, it will probably be the best offer ever for me. I don't have Lounge Lizard, so all four may end up being $99. That's what it used to be for three of them. On the other hand, Strum GS-2 is going to be updated at some point, perhaps in 2021. Maybe I'll wait for that.

Well done, my (euro goober) friend! And Chromo3? A no brainer of the 1st order.
TheMaartian
The last couple of times I tried JRR Shop, I couldn't even get the home page, so I just bought the upgrade direct from AAS. 1
fret_man
Just now bought the upgrade from JRR with the FORUM discount code. Worked for me!

ZincT
I might also be tempted this time when the usual half price bundle upgrade offer is available. In the meantime I will be trying out the fully functional 15 day demo which can be downloaded from here --> https://www.applied-acoustics.com/chromaphone-3/ Edited October 27, 2020 by ZincT
Fleer
They often do a special half price launch with a new sound bank included.
Anxiousmofo
I'm tempted by this as Chromaphone is a favorite and I've owned every version, but feeling a bit underwhelmed, as is often the case with AAS updates. Anything you folks are encountering that is particularly compelling? I'm sure the sound updates are nice, but I've never been terribly concerned that Chromaphone sounded less than pro. GUI updates are nice, but not necessarily worth the upgrade price.
shawker
I think the AAS store is Canadian $, so it may be a little cheaper buying directly from them. $39 CAD = $29.58 USD. Edited October 27, 2020 by shawker

paulo
I'm usually a sucker for an AAS upgrade, but truth is I've hardly ever used Chromaphone 1 or 2. Not saying that it's bad or anything, I just mostly forget that I even have it. I think I'll get the demo first this time.

Go figure, it's rare that we Canadians get a better deal. It may have something to do with having to charge Canadians GST.
