I went back to SO when SPlat splattered. No major complaints. The only thing I see that may be an issue with Studio One 5 Artist is if you plan to upgrade it to Pro. It's $299 to do that upgrade! But the Artist package is probably enough for many, now that it supports VST.

They have an annual half off sale, which would drop that to $149...so if you can wait...it's a good way to go! 1

You're getting all of the above, SO5 Artist included, for 2/3 of the cost of Artist alone. Plus, an audio interface with a street price of $100.
