Bandlab Assistant updated

After clicking Update, it seemed stacking but it was downloading the updater in the background. I think it took tens of seconds. After that, install window appeared then automatically launched BandLab Assistant v6.1.0. and I had to log in again. Successful automatic update for the first time... wow, I'm surprised.

Update through the app is stuck in circles here.  Of all the updates to Bandlab over the last few years, only one has ever proceeded smoothly through the app itself.

A functional chord track in Cakewalk would probably bring me back full time.  But on to other updates and downloads right now!

Updates had been working smoothly for me on this in 2020. Not this one. Tried updating on app. No go. Tried deleting, reinstalling new version, and appeared to work. But then wouldn’t re-open.? Glad Studio One is my main DAW these days.

All of mine have worked up until this one.  It was the first time I had to get download the BLA Installer and reinstall before
the update would work.

Frankly, I dont know if this is the most recent update or not. I downloaded and installed, then ran BLA.  Immediately it says there is an update available.  Hmmm..... So I click on update, and sure enough, it does update correctly this time.  Sorry, but I can't give credit to BLA for a smooth update, especially when I have to reinstall BLA just to get it to pretend to update!  Back to baseline, and awaiting the next piece of software to present its Gordian knot update process.  Waves has been a good one for this.  IKM follows in a close second at times, and NI updates are hit or miss recently.  Sometimes all these updates seem like that headless chicken policy making  South Park episode!

Can't update here either.  Currently on 6.0.0.0 of BA.  Says it needs an update. I click on update , Not only does BA quit, but the BA process also terminates.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling BA and downloading from https://www.bandlab.com/download/assistant/windows same result....   I chucked a reboot in there somewhere for good measure - same result.

I am still stuck on BA 6.0.0.0

I have flicked a support ticket to Cakewalk support.

Try  installing the Bandlab Assistant from this Cakewalk web Page.   https://www.bandlab.com/products/cakewalk

Make sure you restart  your computer first, then go to the webpage and download and install.

That's the first thing I tried.... same result.  It still downloads 6.0.0.0.  I installed it anyway, but the reinstalled version still asks for an update.... which fails.

I was getting pretty much the same result as Promidi trying to do the update from within BLA.  Downloading the file manually and running it eventually did do the update.

After running the update it says it's on version 6.1.0.

I also recall talk of getting rid of BLA and the sooner the better from my viewpoint.
