jf
Hello, In piano roll view, I can change the velocity value of Studio Instrument bass guitar note , but the note volume stays the same level. This is the same whichever bass guitar I select from the program browser. Does anyone have a fix for this please.
reginaldStjohn
The velocity is not quite the same as volume. If you make the velocity of a note very small, like 8-10, does it sound different or quieter? The velocity not only can affect volume but also the timbre of the note. Are you trying to make it quieter or just not hearing a difference of any kind when changing the velocity of a note?
jf
Hello ReginaldStJohn, Thank you for the reply, Trying to make it quieter, current level 80, No difference in volume of the note at 1 or 127 although slight difference in sound quality. Nigel Mackay
Use CC11-Expression for the volume.
jf
Hello Nigel, That works but, it also changes the volume on all the following notes to the same volume/velocity. How would I use cc11 on just the one bass note.
Nigel Mackay
Just before the note starts you set the expression level you want, the moment it ends set it back to where it was.
jf
Thank you Nigel, that works ok. Also I have noticed that the problem is intermittent so might be a bit of a bug with studio instruments.
