Starise Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 I had been moving my midi one note at a time when necessary, but sometimes there is cause to move an entire midi track up or back a few clicks to the timeline. I saw someone doing this in Cubase with a few fast keystrokes and was curious how I would do this most efficiently in Cakewalk? I know this is probably in the online manual but my eyes usually glaze over before I can find what I need. Anyone here do this on a fairly regular basis who would care to comment? Thanks!
John Vere Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 (edited) There are probably 10 ways to do this. I use the PVR for accuracy if the song was played using the set tempo. If it's midi added to an existing audio recording with no set tempo then I use the track view to line it up with say the drum or bass tracks. In PVR - Select all the notes buy swiping down the piano icon on the left. or Ctrl A- Now just grab one note and all will follow. In the track view- just grab the clip move the mouse until you see the 4 arrow icon ( smart tool) now move it right of left. Edited September 24, 2020 by John Vere
