SOLVED: time-line location pop-up - anyway to get rid of it?

The timeline bar (along the top of the clips pane) - when I move the cursor there, a little broken line box opens with the location and stays there as you move along the bar with the curosr...is there any way to turn this pop-up off? I find it rather annoying.

'X' will toggle Aim Assist on and off. When it's off, you'll lose both the time display and the vertical line.

Alt-X will toggle whether the time display is shown when Aim Assist is enabled.
