Use Orchestool One in SampleTank 4: can you?

Orchestools One is out! (https://musictop69.wixsite.com/orchestools/orchestools). The zip folder is "OTONE".

To use the instruments, you gotta download SampleTank first. It's version 4 now: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/st4/. It's free!  Simply click DOWNLOAD for "SampleTank 4 Custom Shop". Or the download link is here: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/demodownload/?a=sampletank-4-cs.  Pick a Windows or Mac download. Remember to download the Sounds - please don't ask me why it's something technical I guess. Up to this point everything is streamline. The installer will carry you along with the installations. Just don't delete the authenticator it's there to authenticate your SampleTank 4, but you won't do that, normally. 

I can open SampleTank 4, and play with the sound library in Cakewalk.

Then here comes the thing: to import Orchestools One sounds into SampleTank 4. It's more manual. You got to put the folders of OTONE ("Imported Samples", "Instruments" and "Multis") into the folder system of IK Multimedia which, is already created for you using the installer. There are suggestions on the manual, like this:

Would you start with SampleTank 4, not SampleTank 3? The experienced people started with SampleTank 3 already downloaded into their machine. But v3 is no longer available for download. Apparently, the folder system built by downloading v3 is different from what I got from v4. 

And so I can't play  Orchestools One in SampleTank 4, let alone in Cakewalk, even I have recreated the folder structure referenced by the above 3 links. The furthest I can reach so far, is to get SampleTank 4 to read the sound files. I can pick and click the  Orchestools One sounds from a dropdown list inside SampleTank 4, but then an error box pops out saying:

Part 2 loading issues

Failed to load instrument '.... (some path of another instrument)...'

...

Part 7 loading issues

Someone suggests to reference v3 folder system to v4... But I don't have v3. And how to do the referencing anyway?

Maybe you know what's this all about. I'm stuck.

Hi There.

Have you tried to move the "Imported Samples" of the Orchestools One into  the "Samples" folder of Sampletank 4, as suggested here? https://musictop69.wixsite.com/orchestools/orchestools
It does work for presets and for most of the Multipresets, though some errors occur one some of multipresets!

Also, i think you can still download Sampletank 3.7.2 from this link: https://allpcworld.com/sampletank-vst-3-7-free-download/   -  Maybe it's worth giving it a try since Orchestools One works best with this version. I don't know though if this version can be authenticated by ikmultimedia nowadays!

You might also may want to check the soon to be released ORCHESTOOLS | SECTIONS (https://musictop69.wixsite.com/orchestools/orchestools-two) a set of four VST instruments, each with 4 layers and built using the same library used for Orchestools One, the incredible Versilian Studios VSCO 2 CE orchestral sample library!

Um, I know that Sampletank has a cutdown version that is free.... Is that what this is?  It's only referred to as Sampletank 3.7, so I think it might be the full version, and if so, since when does IKM offer older versions of their software for free?   Did I miss an announcement somewhere?

On second thought - maybe it is not safe to download from this source also.

Seems like the update of the library for sampletank 4 is in order. I just have to get my hands on Sampletank 4 copy and its editor app!

i Just checked my IKmultimedia account, on user area/my products besides sampletank 4 CS and other free stuff - i still have access to download and register Sampletank Custom shop version 3.7.3 which is the best version to use with ORCHESTOOLS ONE. So, register an account and try to download and install. It should work!

My antivirus says one of the files downloaded from the link contains virus. ... I didn't open it to check what's that about.

Sorry about that... I guess i will have to get onto working on a sampletank 4 version. The new version 4 editor for sampletank looks powerful.
I need a sampletank 4 licence though and at this tough time it is an unafordable purchase! Sometime during 2021 i hope!

I think i found a way to have ORCHESTOOLS ONE patches work in Sampletank 4 CS plus utilise some of its new features. I have to manualy edit all the single patches though and then try to reconstruct the multis - so it will take some time. 

On the preset browsere side - I will enter and resave tags and descriptions on each preset. In this way it will be possible to have a similar overview of presets - simmilar to the folder structure of version 3 - meaning you can now more easely isolate and find Orchestools One  patches in the version 4 browser.  In other words what used to be folders with presets on version 3 will now be lists of presets names and group tags as they appeared on version 3!
 
I will post the links and installlation guide as soon as it is finished, - it will take some time however, sometimes during january i  hope!

WARNING: The above post might seem legit, but the Sample tank 4 link is to a site called getpczoneone dot com for a coreldraw 2018 download. That plus a few other things (post one from an unknown entity in a very old thread that contains the solution in a post from 2021) makes me think that the post is probably spam rather than someone who doesn't know what they are doing.  I could be wrong, but the above post seems phishy to me.

Trust Pilot has 2 reviews for the website with a 3 and a 4 rating both from 2018.

UPDATE: I have just verified that the solution posted in 2021 works.  And just in case the previous post is legit, download the proper file as instructed and read the Quick Guide.
