Why am i unable to use any vst plugins in cakewalk?

I downloaded a few plugins and put them under the VstPlugins folder but after I scanned them they were not read or added. What should i do?

I presume you mean C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VstPlugins?

Is that listed in Edit-> Preferences -> File -> VST Settings?

What are the plugins?

What exactly did you put in the VstPlugins folder? A lot of VSTs need to have their installer run.

The high-level stuff will install itself correctly, and CW will find them. Freebies or low-cost stuff may need to be extracted and manually dragged into a folder. Check with the forum or developer, they can tell you exactly what to do.
