willard cottrell
I am confused. Nornally when I save a project a new folder is added "audio". They are labled (entire mix 1 etc). A couple of my recent ptojects have not developed the "audio " folder so I have no idea where the bounced mixes went I have routed the midi thru my Addictive Keys synth. I bounce the file and can't locate any audio file. My preference says D:\cakewalk content\audio library. However I am beginning to believe that has nothing to do with this situation. Any help appreciated.
reginaldStjohn
When you create a project there is a setting to use per project audio. This will create the audio file under the project directory. Otherwise it should use the global folder. Do a complete search on your hard drive(s) and see if you can locate where the bounces are going.
willard cottrell
Somehow, I've found the files all over the place by using the search. I think it has something with the way I'm starting the file. I've been cheating and using the same file project over and over rather than my original template. That is probably where the confusion is coming in. Thanks for your help! Willard
Xoo
Global folder is set in Preferences\File\Audio Data (not in Preferences\File\Folder Locations). Yes, there's an argument for all folder locations to be set on the same preferences page...
