Kontakt 6. Many synths in the Kontakt instance. Each with a MIDI and an instrument track.

If I solo a MIDI track, all the instrument tracks solo. If I solo an instrument track all the MIDI tracks solo.

This is very inconvenient.

If you mistakenly hit shift or ctrl (can't remember which,) it will cause all inst's selected to solo. Look up at the top, at the solo and mute buttons. If you have selected to solo all, the lower solo button will be lit. just turn it off.

Hopefully it's that simple....

It's because there's no way for CbB to "know" which audio/MIDI tracks should be solo'd as that routing is managed opaquely within Kontakt (or other plug-ins; this isn't Kontakt specific).

I would think that you would only require one instrument track per Kontakt instance, with the rest of the tracks being one MIDI track per instrument sent to that Kontakt instance. Using a different MIDI channel per MIDI track should keep you straight as far as routing within Kontakt.

You can insert audio tracks if you require Kontakt to output separate audio tracks for each instrument. No need for extra instrument tracks.

Maybe a screen shot of your setup would help?
