Is it possible to rearrange Synth Rack Order?

To reflect the track order, or just to have it better organized in groups. (all dim pro together, all Zeta grouped etc.)

I'm gonna guess that I have a terrible workflow, focus on the wrong kind of details and that this request has little to do with actually getting a project completed.

I've wondered about that myself, because I have never been able to do that.

It would be nice to be able to organize them, but I'm not sure that syncing by track order would be meaningful in all cases, especially when you are using multiple MIDI and audio tracks with multi-timbral instruments. You might have your tracks organized in folders according to groups of instrument sound types, rather than what synth they connect to.

But still, I would vote for this as a FR. I would like to be able to group all instances of the same synth together, like Dimension Pro 1, 2, 3, then z3ta+ 1, 2, 3, etc.

It's a good idea.  There is so much visual clutter already in these DAW apps, every little bit helps.  I've hated the synth rack because of this. +1 for the feature.

Also, it would be just as nice to be able to drag the tabs in the dock to rearrange the order of docked items.  That is something I use much more.

I'd vote for being able to rearrange the synth rack and tabs in the multidock.  I'm going to look for a "feature request" forum and see if you've already posted there.

Yes, there is no reason one shouldn’t drag tabs or rearrange synths.  Been a bitch of mine for years, but isn’t a showstopper.  Just an itch.

This is an old request since 2010 and nothing was done up to now.
