I have Cakewalk version 2020.05 (Build 039, 64 bit).
When I File/Import an .mp3 file to a track I am finding that Cakewalk is introducing an extremely small amount of "padding" at the beginning of the track so that the imported audio starts approx 0.035 secs later than it should.
I understand that the mp3 encoder LAME 3.99 has a "padding" feature (for import and export) .. but in the latest version LAME 3.100, it can be turned off - I think it's called "gapless playback". So ... is there a parameter I can add to one of the config files to control gapless playback?? It is a problem, as in what I'm doing, I am expecting the imported audio to line up exactly with the bar markers.
I've tried importing the same audio in .wav format and it aligns perfectly ... but I don't always have that format for import.
