If you listen in the first minute, I think the snare is coming in just a hair after the guitar strum. I'd vote for the drums louder on this one, particularly the snare.

Great concept, great voice, awesome guitar tones, drums are great (tasteful ride and those fills), cool lyrics, nice bgv's . . . I could see chilling out to this kickin back on the beach after a full day's surfing, a west coast sunset. And I don't even surf.

great job (again)!

cheers,

Im guessing Telecaster through a tweed amp sim with reverb ?

Liked this a lot, The mix is good (cymbals are a little on the loud side).

I hear the same with Cymbals not lining up with the kick on the down beats.

This is a really "catchy" song. It all fits together to make for and interesting song with some good lyrics.  I don't really know why but it reminds me (in a slight way) of some of Lou Reed's stuff.

Nice one.

Chuck E Baby - Thanks for your comments and for listening. That is a Strat through a tweed amp sim with reverb (TH3).  Good ears there.

freddy j - Thanks for your comments and for listening.  A Lou Reed comparison sounds cool to me. Thanks for complimenting me on the lyrics - when I start writing lyrics for a song, I never know what's going to come of it - a bit of an adventure.
