It takes a special sort of genius to put the speakers on the part of the body furthest away from the ears.

Wouldn't it be a better idea to put the speakers in some kind of device resembling earmuffs?

No, not when you're listening to the sound of bagpipes, an accordeon playing or that thing they call Rap.

Then, the further away the speakers are, the better.
