Can't hear recordings or recording is not working

Hi!

I just downloaded the program and added an instrument that was already installed. I click on recording and can hear the sound on my laptop when I play the instrument but it is not really recording anything. When I play my recording afterwards I don't hear anything. Does anyone know what the problem is or could help me? Thanks a lot!
