Scott R. Garrigus Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 Press J for Scrub tool. Trying to scrub MIDI track attached to VST synth. For scrubbing MIDI it only seems to work in the Piano Roll view. In the Track view, you only get silence. Also, if you try scrubbing in the Track view first and then do it in the PRV, you get the silence again. If you don't scrub MIDI in the Track view at all and just do it in the PRV, it seems to work. Definitely looks like a bug.

Chaps Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 I can't find anything in the reference file regarding the Scrub Tool being able to audition MIDI in anything other than the PRV. The problem I have with it is that if I try to scrub an audio track with it Cakewalk freezes, and I get an audio engine stopped message when Cakewalk unfreezes. It works fine in the PRV and nowhere else.
Scott R. Garrigus Posted June 24, 2020 Author Posted June 24, 2020 Not sure if the bug is new. Someone mentioned it to me and I verified it was there. As for working outside the PRV, I'm fairly certain it's also supposed to work on MIDI in the Track view, but I could be wrong.
