Question

Hello everybody
while recording on cakewalk i heard my playing with latency, so i recorded with out a monitoring but the record was also with latency. i tried to fix it without hurting my budget so i bought a secondhand audio interface. its  "audiolink III"

nothing is active and playback timing master set to none
is it not asio? how to get no latency? and what difference i get with audio interface i mean i bought it to get no latency

Hello Promidi thanks for your answer and sorry for late reply
i downloaded the driver as you mentioned and yes the driver that windows installed is not a correct one. now i can choose Asio driver and Asio panel is active
But the latency controller is not active.
my computer specifications are:
Processor Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-3330 CPU @ 3.00GHZ     3.00  GHZ

Installed ram 8.00 GB

Hard disk HDD 1 TB

upgraded from win 8 to win 10

Just to confirm, if you head to Preferences | Audio | driver settings, can you drag the "Buffer size".

If this does not work then you should be able to click on "ASIO Settings" to open the software that6 controls the Audiolink III settings

Note: I use a Focusrite 2i2 so I have a slightly different set up - but as far as Cakewalk is concerned, it should be similar.

When you say "noise in your mic" - are you meaning like a background hiss?
