user6933722889200418
Hi, I am slowly configuring Cakewalk for midi control. But how do you remote control the activation of an effect like TH3? If you right click on the Th3 Power button in the track no Remote control option appears. For now I thought of making 2 tracks with same midi CC, one enabled, one disabled... so when the control engages for mute, or for monitoring the activation is swapped, the first disabled the second track enabled. Any smarter solution?
User 905133
I don't use TH3, but I tested it and was able to click on some knobs in the TH3 modules and do either midi learn, or assignment to automation slots. The power button on this module (AQTX Spring Reverb) seems to be assignable. Edited May 25, 2020 by User 905133
Nigel Mackay
Right-click the power button on the amp itself in the TH3 GUI. That can be assigned/learned. You can't manipulate the FX rack in a track, only the effects IN the rack.
user6933722889200418
There's also an option Show assignable controls, but is very difficult to find! The documentation seems old, but if I pick the Display menu on the left panel, - Display/>Module Option/>FX/>Show Assignable controls - I can then see, ONLY in the left panel, the selected effect with a list of parameters, than I can right click and Remote Control. Thanks anyway, I finally give up TH3 and bougth hardware with pedal for my amplified guitar.
