musical
I paid $82.32! I really rate XO but XLN needs to push it into the market much more aggressively. XLN needs an even more stripped down, even cheaper version, maybe even free, with the ability to step up to the full version without much in the way of financial penalty. XLN should also be making money selling sample and midi packs. It is superb creative tool with lots of samples. Those C64 sounds that ZincT and msmcleod were talking about in the Roland thread are great in this. I've gone a bit mad with samples - I now have 279,181 samples indexed in XO. Mesh
I really like XO and it's a fun instrument to just play around with. If you'd like to add more samples, check out https://samplesfrommars.com/products/all-products-from-mars?variant=376105238534 I have their everything bundle (around 45GB) and got it for under $15 IIRC. My drum sample folder is about 55GB, so there's enough there to keep me busy for sometime.

It is really worth adding those weird freebies samples you got with magazines, etc. as they are really fun to play with creatively - 8-bit trash, vocals, thunder, traffic, etc. XO groups them in interesting and creative ways.
antler
Is the licencing as flakey as AD2? It's not really a biggy - just mildly annoying.
antler
Also, how big is the factory library? I can only find RAM requirements on their website.

TerraSin
It will deactivate itself once in a while when Windows does a major update. Not a big deal as they have one of the easiest systems to fix imo.
lawajava
I’m a fan of XO. Sounds great. About as easy to use as possible.

Completely agree - especially as they let you deactivate the pre-Windows-update activations.
