Has anyone tried this? What were the results? Thanks.
msmcleod Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 It's worth noting that the 2nd gen drivers will only work with the Solo, 2i2 & 2i4. So they won't work with the 6i6, 18i8 or 18i20.
John Vere Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Yes that's because 6i6 and upwards all use the Mix Control and have different firmware etc. They updated the Mix control software for the 2nd gen. It probably works on the lowest 3 models because they didn't really change the hardware much.

The 2i4 doesn't use MixControl - only 6i6 and above do.

Yes, as stated the 2i4 doesn’t have mix control.
