Vernon Barnes
There may be some people here who have their music on Bandcamp so it would be a good time to generate a bit of interest or its a good time to buy and support artists in this difficult environment. For those who don't know Bandcamp they are generally regarded as the good guys of the digital music industry for independent artists with low fees. https://bandcamp.com/fair_trade_music_policy From a fans perspective the options to down load MP3s at different bit rates or FLAC or WAV files means you can have both compact versions for you phone and lossless versions for HQ listening. Quote A few Fridays ago, we waived our revenue share to help musicians impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Bandcamp community (very possibly including you!) went above and beyond, paying $4.3 million to artists and labels in just 24 hours. It was an inspiring day, and we heard many requests to do it again, so we’re going to do exactly that. This Friday, May 1, we’re once again waiving our revenue share for all sales on Bandcamp, from midnight to midnight PDT. If you’re fortunate enough to be in a position to spare some funds, please join us in providing some much-needed support to the many amazing artists on Bandcamp. Details are here, and please help us spread the word! https://daily.bandcamp.com/features/bandcamp-covid-19-fundraiser Edited April 28, 2020 by Vernon Barnes
