trager Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 They've called it Korg Collection 2 but apparently it's a free update for existing users. There are bundle upgrade deals. Best to check your account I'd imagine. The full bundle to new users is on sale for $299 instead of $399. https://www.korg.com/us/products/software/korg_collection/ 3 1
tom Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Even sale price is crazy. So just GUI change or any change to engine as these are ancient now. Do they still stand up? Always wanted them but never saw a good price 1
ZincT Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Thanks! Much better screen size options now on the M1 and Wavestation.
musical Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Upgrade from M1 LE to Korg Collection 2 is $199. Tempted.

Matthew Sorrels Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 I updated my legacy using the Korg Software Pass app (which is kind of crappy the way it handles things). I don't think adding the Triton and ARP for $199 is a very good deal, but the new GUI's on the older ones is a very nice free update. If they lower the price on the Legacy update to $99 and I'd jump, till then, no. 3
S.L.I.P. Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 I'm in my Korg account, and I'm not seeing any way to update the Wavestation. Anybody?
Frank Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Great. Additional sounds also included in the new sound browser. 1

I used Korg Software Pass to update the Wavestation and M1 https://id.korg.com/static_pages/3 It didn't offer any update for the Triton demo but I'm on v1.0.1 which may already be the latest. BTW Korg Software Pass seems to download the update files and then dump you in whichever ZIP manager you have to do the rest yourself! I just navigate to the specific updater folder and drag/drop that to my download folder and run the update there. I only own M1 and Wavestation but also wanted to try the rest of the collection but I cannot see how to download the other demos. If you click on the demo link it just downloads Korg Software Pass. Reid Rosefelt Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Korg has 50% off storewide sales a few times every year. I wonder what these prices will be in the next sale? FYI there are NKS templates to all of these from Freelance Soundlabs HERE
Fleer Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 So happy Korg updated their Collection, which I had for years but never used because of the GUI.

simon Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 (edited) oh dear - legacy cell still not happy with cubase also is it me but everytime you start the Korg Software Pass app it dumps the entire contents of your temp folder (C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\temp) in the recycle bin (windows 10 ) !!!!!! which breaks things Edited April 16, 2020 by simon

ZincT Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 I'm surprised that Kaspersky didn't flag some interesting behavior!

The 'delete the temp folder' is much worse - can break stuff - even breaks it's own downloader routine Edited April 16, 2020 by simon
