cclarry Posted April 14, 2020 Author Posted April 14, 2020 From Magix: New features available from April 2020: » Even more creative possibilities with ARA2 support » Multidimensional parameter adjustment controls with MPE » New WaveColor waveform display » Monitoring section for easily switching between playback systems » New Tempo Track function for track & timing automation » Steinberg SpectraLayers Pro 6 + version 7 upgrade
kitekrazy Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 They are the new "finale" when releasing upgrades. 1
Bapu Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 I upgraded from Pro3 Suite to Pro 4 (non-suite) in Jan of this year. No love for me I'm sure. Might be time to archive the Magix software. 1
TheMaartian Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Also done with Magix. Instead of taking their SpectraLayers upgrade, I bought the iZotope SpectraLayers 6 version. I've uninstalled all of the Magix stuff I bought after SPlat hit the windshield. 2

I have 4 Suite...and will most likely upgrade due to getting Spectral Layers 7 included in the haul...when the price is right

It is a nice DAW but I think they are shooting themselves with paid upgrades almost annually. 1
Greg Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 Is Magix still selling or including Spectralayers? I’m bummed I missed the into pricing with Steinberg. They recently posted a YouTube video showing cleaning up a guitar track and it was pretty cool. 1

Pro X5 Standard won't include it I don't think...

cclarry Posted April 20, 2020 Author Posted April 20, 2020 $199 at Sweetwater https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SampPX4SuiteUp 1
Feral State Sound Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 Considering yearly upgrades and such... I think the wiser decision is the subscription service (Pro X Suite 365). At the end, software is a service and not only a product. 1

Carlos Iglesias Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 250 euros for the update when the previous version does not reach the year and a half of existence. Ridiculous to put those prices. 5
balinas Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Magix update/upgrade pricing always annoys me. Especially when they throw in an older version of Soundforge into their suite. 2

I'm off the Samplitude train unless I can get the Pro X5 Suite Upgrade for $99 max (which ain't goan happun) 2
