CbB "not activated" and now Bandlab Asst won't open (Solved)

Just installed Cakewalk, and it opens but is "not activated". Tried "refresh activation " in the BL Asst  - still not activated.  Closed Cakewalk, reopened and now the BL Asst won't open. How do I get the Asst back and how do I activate Cakewalk? 

Love the product but have to say the installation process could use a whole lotta love.

Update: I walked away for about a half hour and the Asst appeared. This time when clicking open, the "not activated" message was gone and all was well. What an ordeal!
