RobertWS Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 I was cleaning the lint, hair, gunk, etc from the bottom of my filthy mouse and noticed there were two side buttons. All these years and I never noticed them before...weird. I found they were for navigating in browsers...they did the Next and Prev buttons. Then I found they could be remapped. If you download and install X-Mouse Button Control, you can remap buttons on an application basis to just about anything. I remapped buttons 4 and 5 to the Previous and Next Marker keyboard shortcuts. Sweet! 2 1
GreenLight Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Great tip, thanks! I already use X-Mouse Button Control, but hadn't thought of actually mapping keys to Cakewalk specifically. Brilliant!
razor7music Posted April 2, 2020 Posted April 2, 2020 (edited) This is great. For the app you mention, does it continue to allow those side buttons to control your browser while you're not in CW? EDIT: Got my answer. Yes! Edited April 2, 2020 by razor7music
