Dario Aman
Any recommendations which small midi keyboard to purchase that works good with Cakewalk? Having big issues with AKAI APK mini, not knowing if theres problem with keyboard or with its compatibility with Cakewalk DAW... Thanks!
StudioNSFW
I have a ghetto M Audio Keystation 61 an ex left behind. Works fine with Cakewalk. Runs on USB power from the PC so only 1 cord needed.
Tezza
That's what I use, the M-Audio Keystation 61 Mk3. Simple, plug it in to usb, it works in every DAW I've tried it in without stuffing about. It's also got an on/off switch so I just turn it on when needed. I don't mind the feel of the keys either. It's also got the midi 5 pin out if you want to control sound modules, I haven't bothered with that though. If you want a hardware controller aspect to it then it won't suffice, it's just a keyboard. There's a 49 key version, I personally wouldn't go smaller than that. Sounds like you might be looking for something quite different, a mini keyboard with controllers. I've only tried the larger keyboards with controllers but in the end, I preferred just the keyboard. A separate mixer might be good though.
