I believe this is what you want: see the section on to specify the default project template.
John Vere Posted March 22, 2020 Posted March 22, 2020 Actually Cakewalk doesn't load anything but the work space when you start. Almost all software works this way. That is not a blank project. You then have to open a project or template. You can make your own templates and select it from the start screen or the start menu. The start screen has 3 tabs to help you navigate. I mostly use the recent projects tab. If I want to start a new project I open the ( duh) New Project tab and pick an appropriate template. The other way is to simply open from the project ( or template) folder by double clicking.
