I was using the Kontact keyboard, which requires you to have the relevant instrument highlighted, not just the track. I have one instance of Kontakt loaded with three instruments assigned to midi channels 1,2 and 3. I have 3 midi tracks setup ponting at Kontakt and assigned to channels 1, 2 3. No matter which midi track I select, the instrument assigned to Kontakt channel 1 plays. Inevitably, I will have overlooked something obvious but I haven't yet been able to work out exactly how I have been stupid! Any help gratefully received.
