Porblem after cakewalk by update.

Hi friends- , after Cakewalk  the update, When I press play, the audio of the song starts correctly but the timer and the graphic waves doesem´t  start while the windows clock is seen, as if cakewalk were doing a task  in background,  like saving a file.

If I press stop, the windows clock appears again and the audio takes 20 or 30 seconds to stop

I uninstalled the program and reinstalled the previous version but the problem continues. can you help me?

Simple edit actions like increase 6 db a short audio piece, takes a lot of time.

Have you pulled up Task Manager (ctrl-shft-esc) to see if there is a program or task taking a lot of CPU or disk?  Anti-virus or Windows indexing could cause this kind of behavior.
