Sergio Posted February 23, 2020 Share Posted February 23, 2020 IMO the problem with sampled synth stuff, particularly with this UVI library, is that they sampled synth patches "expertly programmed" by UVI staff. This may really be the case but a patch is just a particular sound in a possibly infinite (or at least very big) set of sounds a synth can make. With emulations you can have, at least theoretically, access to that big sound set. And, yes, there are simulations and simulations. If you have the Repro synth from u-He there's no point IMO in buying a sampled Prophet library. Maybe a real Prophet but that's another 200000 cents.
