Larry Shelby
The XILS Insider Analog String Machines bundle Greetings XILS Friends and Fans, We're proud to announce the release of our 1srt bundle : ANALOG STRING MACHINES The Analog String Machines bundle offers the V+ and X-505 paraphonic instruments for a better price than purchased separately (Intro price : 119€ Msrp : 199€ Purchased separately : 298€) V+ owners can upgrade to the String Machine Bundle for only 39€ (Msrp 59€) Until February 29th V+ and X-505, The differences: This question has been asked numerous times after the release of the X-505, especially from those who already owned the V+ Vocoder/String Machine. The table below summarizes the main differences between the two instruments. X-505 XILS V+ Simultaneous engines 3 3 Number of engines 4 (Strings, Synthesizer, Choir, Bass) 3 (Strings, Analog Choir, Vocoder) Strings Registers 4'/8'Balance/Mix No balance between registers Analog Choir Similar (not strictly identical) Similar (not strictly identical) Vocoder No Vocoder 10 bands Vocoder Bass Section 3 sources No Bass section Synthesizer Section Full Analog Synthetizer (paraphonic) No Synthesizer as VST Effect No Can be used as an effect. Effects Chorus, Phaser, Reverb Chorus, Phaser, Reverb * Additionally: The Strings TOD oscillators, the Chorus BBD effect differ between the two instruments. Still not convinced you should wan to upgrade from V+ to the String Bundle ? Here's an audio demo with some new presets which will be added to the next version of the X-505 factory library. Most of these parts could not have been played with the Xils V+ Factory New Presets X505 A Paraphony ? The Top Octave Divider Oscillator provides a unique sound that no sample sets or other usual synthesis techniques can reproduce. Only one square oscillator, oscillating at a very high frequency (the "Top Octave") All the notes are kept in phase, hence no drift between octaves. The filters (Strings, Human Voices, Vocoder, Analog Synthesizer, Bass Synthesizer ) are also monophonic. This are the "limitations" giving paraphonic units this very special, very recognizable sound used by a lot of electronic music artists. Listen to the V+ and X-505 in action: Visit these pages to listen to a lot of audio demos, X-505 and XILS V+ Demos versions: You can try the full featured, or restricted demo versions. More details here for X-505 and here for XILS V+ 119€ instead of 199€ until February 29th Buy it now Edited February 5, 2020 by cclarry
