Moving a selected clip up...

I had a final mix on a track and selected it.  I then accidentally moved it up slightly to where the time bar is and released.  I saw that the track was then being processed.  However, I'm not sure what it was doing?  Any ideas as to what is going on here?

Melodyne was extracting tempo from the clip to the project's timeline. Assuming the audio  was already well-synced to the timeline, you probably just have a lot of very small tempo changes in the tempo map . As Martin suggested, Ctrl-Z ( undo) should revert or you can just close out of the project without saving.
