Good monitors sounds good if the room treated and calibrated , if not ythey sound like crap The second point people tend to not understand is the levels of monotiring which is what i call (in my course to vulgarise it for students) the zoom factor ... Making a balance on high volume is deadly and a clear misunderstanding of imaging concepts ... (by the way same on headphones) The big things with HP over theyears was to gain another perceptive with the ROOM variable taking off (it still makes me laugth seeing that now we recrete rooms that people surly never experinced , in most case no equivalent ) Another important aspect that is neglected is that we don't only hear sound , but we feel it .... and i remebr at the SAE being invitaed by the Subback pack guyz to talk bout this concept and how it will be exellent to calibrte vibration adequatly ) (sub back pack is a thing you where and recreate vibrations for basses mainly and it was exellent , surpising and destabilising at first , but superb) The car Test , in my case was this (not only) knowing exactly the ammoung of vibration i neeeded to feeel via my car system + sub to have somehting balanced versus weak or overleming , a great test is to mix basses frequency countent wiithout hear those , just by feeling them and you will be surpised by the accuracy of your choice !!! Any way , NS 10 is a just a way to focus like doing a scan on mid frequency (i did explained this on some of my videos , technic is called freq scan of mix , where you focus on freq band to mix your tracks , it's superb , eazy and the biggest improvement usally my student feel) Feel free to request a video on this concept if ya guyz wants me to cover it

We control usually on headphones , crossfeed is needed (i have the 2 control from spl for that ) but guess what , IK ARC on ear has it built in !! called studio simu (before the speaker simu ) where you can define widness .... (crossfeed means like in real life , when you pan some left , the right ear actually also has some signals )

Tape emu's are one of the best on the market but i don't use them helas due to cpu hit , which leads me to my next question : are the last T racks processors heavy on cpu or optimised like old ones which i love and use ! Been focused on HW integration last year and i m quit unsynced with last releases from brands ...

Guyz kinda late to the party , if i want the new tracks 6 shell and plugins what's teh best way ? The diff between intro /pro / max for trakcs is only in the processors ? or is there features diff ? upgrade to max is 199 (which i find a lot , seen total studio at 249 once !!) and pro at 149 as a V5 owner .... It's so opac what you can buy and what it unloks ....IK @Peter - IK Multimedia , please next time , a simple tabler with select the purchase and attuyamatically what it unlok , the other grey out with coulumn for Aplitube / tracks / tonexect ....

The problem is not imho that omnispher eupgrade is expênsive , what they deliver is worth , the problem is that the price is fair if all new stuff is usefull to you , which in my case is not at all the case , i don't need more sounds , i have too much !!!! fx : same !!! I bougth HW 's because of WORKFLOW :!!!!! and fun !!!! Falcon update is solid , the super saw is super light to cpu and was needed .... as for the fx , don't care lol expt maybe the drive ....but what we already have is solid ...but workflow wise ? zero enhacement in both brands ....

time to get some HW lol

Same here about the gui , my main grip is the gui , tweak osc , open a tab for lfo , go back to tweak the filter , then ect ....it was a real hassle and why i don't sounddesign that much in it , other thatn in pre production stage where i have time , but during production its presets and fast tweak Not super exited but the 4 quad zone is the most powerfull features , freshift : could n't not care more , nex fx : cool , new fx in daw : cool (but we all have in 90 % of cases better , the more exotics ones are great ) HW integration great but if your hw is used in studio one for exemple as a control surface , you cant use it (discovered that and confirmed by support) 199 euros is kinda hard imho , i usually jump straight but i'm more exited by expansions and there fx (specialised but high quality) Oh my bad another great feature i found : mutate : nothing new but historical recall of each ones is brilliant !!!(elektron you hear that !!)

Roland system 1 ? softube 82 if ya have the uad ya good (cleanerr but solid) Lush 2 : dope ; but the beauty is in multi not the core sound , so if you want sh101 go sh 2 from roland (fdor bass it's another level imho)
