You misunderstand....by DEFAULT, the location recommended BY THE SOFTWARE INSTALLER would be C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins, BUT you could alter that location if the installer allowed you to. Some DID NOT allow you to, and you would have to move them to whatever your VST Folder was.

Correct. It was the default VST directory for years. I install all my VST2's to a different drive, as, like antler said, you can put them anywhere and just point to them in the DAW...

ZT...I too am only missing Satch....that's why that upgrade price is RIDICULOUS! I own TS2 Max, and Amplitube Max, and I have to pay $300 to get "Satch"? As I said, IK has LOST THEIR MINDS (and probably a LOT of customers if they keep this absurdity up...) That's probably one of the biggest reasons that you can barely GIVE them away on KVR!

If I'm gonna dip my toe...it will be with the FREE Custom Shop when it's availabe! I learned a long ago that being the FIRST to jump in is a HUGE (and costly) mistake, as you'll be able to "get in" later on for far less! We've been "programmed" to HAVE to be the "first kid on the block" to get the new toy!
