Hi, Just picked one of these up. I have updated the fw and was pleased to see development continuing on this product. I'm very pleased for the most part but one shortcoming has me puzzled. I need to send Midi program changes to a device. I seems this capability was over looked. Has anyone come up with a solution to this shortcoming?? I have been having to much fun running Dawless but plan to use it with Cakewalk!! Any tips for a new Key Step user? Thanks in advance! Ken

Hi, I'm trying to get motivated to build a midi patch bay using 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo jacks as patching cables. The actual in/out midi connections would be standard 5 pin female midi connectors. My understanding is, I only need 3 signals from the midi 5 pin conn. I couldn't find a device like this on the interweb. Has anyone else done something like this? With the 1/8" stereo connectors one could always connect in other equipment as long as I follow the A or B 1/8" midi cable standard.

I was very happy to see this until I saw the date. I tend to get lost in the details of Cakewalk/XTC configuration. I rarely use the XTC for this reason. I would love to get the device into my workflow. Is there a Cakewalk/XTC for dummies reference out there?? Sorry to proliferate a old topic. Thanks,

Is it me ... or with what should be a 50/50 chance for a USB plug in, I get 100% wrong on the first 2 tries.

What a mess the Midi TRS world is. Try going on Amazon and looking for the right cable. I see three options A, B, and Audio ?? Half the listings don't even show what type they are. Lucky me I needed both A and B. I thought I had it covered but no ... my Line6 A cable is smaller than 1/8". Now I need 3 cables. Special thank you to Korg, Boss, and Line6. Standards, we love them. That's why we have so many of them! End of rant.

Yes, there is also a mention of this on the Line 6 forum. I had success rolling back the Line 6 driver from 1.97 to version 1.96. https://line6.com/support/topic/65018-any-cakewalk-daw-users-getting-hangings-after-helix-v35-updatesolved/ Hope this helps.

FYI - Line6 pulled the 1.97 driver from their download page. Sorry I miss spoke. Its still there. Rolled back to 1.96.

Thanks to all!! Its great to have this support group! I thought it was just me... I wouldn't / couldn't complain about something like this. Stuff happens. I've been dealing with windows / driver issues for ... lets see ... forever.

Does this change "ProChannel plugins no longer receive MIDI" in 9/22 mean PC modules cannot be controlled by a control surface??? Thanks

BandLab has been supporting the Cakewalk team which is awesome in my book!!! I wish them all the best and being a long time Reverb Nation user it is a very interesting development!!
