  1. Cakewalk Sonar used to support multiple audio outputs from a single VST. For example, the drums in a drum machine plugin could be sent to different tracks (or so I remember). Is this feature present on Cakewalk by Bandlab?
  2. I have CA-2A up and running on my system, but I haven't used it since I bought the Black Rooster VLA-2A plugin. Black Rooster's compressor plugins are very potent.
  3. I have a project I'm just starting up with a limited track count at the moment: 1 audio, 4 midi with associated synths. I wanted to extend the piece from 36 to 72 bars, so I selected all the tracks, copied them, then tried to paste (after specifying in "paste special" which track to start with) at the current end of the piece. Three tries, no luck. I then copied and pasted each track individually; no problem. Why doesn't the multi-track copy and paste work?
  4. Anyone have ideas on why 32 bit plugins would cause Cakewalk to crash? Also, I keep getting a message from BFD3 to the effect that having 32 and 64 bit versions of the plugin on the system might destabilize the system. Is that true?
  5. I updated to 2021.21 a few days ago. When I bounce clips to a clip or to a track, the gain on the bounced clip or track is easily 12 db higher than the original material. Manipulating volume and gain in the source track doesn't seem to help--the bounce just maxes out the headroom anyway. This is brand new behavior, and it makes it pretty much impossible to work in Cakewalk, so I'd appreciate it if A) you could tell me how to roll this update back, or B) you could supply a fix or workaround.
  6. I may have found the solution. I mentioned earlier that my M-Audio Hammer 88 controller has been acting up some. I updated the firmware in that device from version 1.0.2 to 1.0.9. (I must have missed a few along the way.) I've had a fairly complex project including ST4 running on the machine for over an hour with no issues. So many moving parts to this stuff.
  7. Didn't get that message. Windows inform me that my PC needs to restart. and off we go.
  8. The PC is a recently refurbished custom build from Studio Cat (Jim Rosenberry). Sample Tank version is 4.13. Testing now with VST2 and VST3. Meanwhile, I loaded up a Cakewalk project with no plugins other than Sampletank 4 in it. It was up and running for about 30 minutes. Then I tried linking a MIDI track to the audio track containing Sample Tank 4, and the computer restarted. So it's not a conflict with any other plugins. It may have to do with Cakewalk's MIDI routing. Stay tuned for more. Update: I noticed recently that my M-Audio Hammer 88 controller is having trouble connecting with Cakewalk. I just updated the firmware in that controller, and we'll see whether that improves things.
  9. Only one instrument at a time--no multis. Only one instance of ST4 running. Other plugins on a given project include EZBass, EZDrummer, True Pianos.
  10. When I add IK Multimedia's Sampletank 4 to a track, everything's fine for a few minutes, then it crashes the system. (Yes, the entire system.) No such problem with Sampletank 3. I'm running Win 10 and the latest update for Cakewalk. Any ideas about either/or the cause or a workaround?
