  1. Since it's a plugin boutique product they know whether you own v1 or not. I don't and the upgrade page says I am not eligible to purchase this product.
  2. The new ambience reverb sounds really good, just make sure it's set to stereo. I liked the 12m size. A lovely roomy ambience.
  3. If you're into digital pianos, Digital Synsations is pretty good btw. Had never installed it until just recently when going on an MKS-20 and Crystal Rhodes kick. Found a bunch of great sounds inside.
  4. I know one way in which they're similar. I haven't heard either of them in real life ? At $260k for the 280VC I'm pretty sure they're never going to go on sale to the point that it's within my budget. Might have to content myself with how they compare in all their sampled glory.
  5. It depends what you are after. I've been thinking about both of these lately. There is more in Key Suite but what's in Keyscape is widely regarded as being of higher quality eg mix ready, more velocity layers. But as a case in point it only has one grand piano, the Yamaha C7. So if you want one of all the major grand pianos, just getting Keyscape isn't going to scratch that itch. But you will have a high quality grand piano. And the MKS 20, the JD 800 Crystal Rhodes, a Wurly 140B (mellow tone like that new 145B Kontakt library) as well as the 200A etc... A pretty impressive collection all told. I'll probably get both, eventually.
  6. @daveiv I just wanted to say, even though the deal wasn't the way it looked when you first posted it, it would have been an epic deal at $49 and I appreciate that you tried to share it with us. That's what makes this place great, people helping each other and sharing the things we find so that others can enjoy the benefits.
  7. I can confirm it is a free upgrade if you already own LX480 -- it continues to work with my existing iLok license with no upgrade fee required. There was an email from Relab back in June 2021 about migrating your account from the old system to the new. I assume it still works. You just fill in the form to migrate. The form still works, so I assume the migration function still works. I have copy pasted from the email below: Our Checkout System Is Changing - You'll Need To Migrate Your Relab Account... Hey everyone! We've been working hard at Relab to improve our customer experience. One of those improvements includes a new Relab checkout system that will help us bring all our Relab products and offers "under one roof" If you have recently grabbed a copy of LX480 Essentials (in the last 4 weeks) - you already have an account on this new system. You may have noticed that your past purchases are not yet in this new account. Not to fear, as we now have a solution to automatically import your past purchases. If you'd like to import your past purchases into this new account, click the link to start an onboarding flow so you can import your past license history. Don't yet have a new account on this system? No problem, you will be prompted to create a new account if one does not yet exist. Start your account migration here: https://shop.relabdevelopment.com/legacy PLEASE NOTE: · Your past purchases will show in the new systems as a "prepaid" order for $0 under "Legacy" on your account page. · It will not show past or current Gobbler subscription purchases (Yet) but it will import your past single product and bundle purchases. · Goldplate will NOT import at this time - this is technically a Kush product and makes for some hoops we need to jump through - so we'll look at that later. · Migrating your account will not affect any licenses or subscriptions - this is merely importing your history to our new system. Should you encounter any issues during your account migration - please start a ticket at support and someone will be happy to help. https://shop.relabdevelopment.com/legacy
  8. Even cheaper via Don't Crack if you buy 3 other things (like XILS synths or D16 or whatever) to get the 20% off the cart total! Didn't realise Don't Crack was actually competitive on price before. They're saying version 4 is coming with Apple Silicon support and VST3. It doesn't seem to support external modulation of values or midi learn etc but they're such great bread and butter effects from the demos I've checked out that I'm keen to pick it up regardless.
  9. It may be a sickness, but it's our sickness. I think that's something worth celebrating. Perhaps with a new plugin purchase or two.
  10. Wonder what the upgrade price will be for Explorer 7 owners? It says Explorer to Explorer 7 for 99 but I am not sure if that's right.
  11. Although technically my answer to this question was "I have more than 1,000 plugins installed" the more meaningful answer is "Just the right number, except for a few that I have my eye on, and some others that I'd buy if they go on sale..."
  12. Just noticed in the lower area of the page, Oxium is 49 Euro, and Mini Syn'X (which I bought for 59 Euro) is now 35 Euro (doh).
  13. Syn'X was on sale already for 99 Euro via Xils directly and I notice this afternoon they've added KaoX to the sale. I'm trying to ignore the fact that I paid $129 for KaoX a while back. https://www.xils-lab.com/products/syn-x-p-134.html 99 Euro https://www.xils-lab.com/products/kaox-p-168.html 59 Euro The drum machine StiX is also on sale at 69 Euro https://www.xils-lab.com/products/stix-by-xils-p-156.html
  14. I didn't bite on the forever 29 but if I had, I would have been! That said, PA is pretty good at putting out solid releases rather than using their users as beta testers. At the end of the day you probably want it when it's working correctly. Also remember the $1 vouchers don't expire it seems so you can still cancel after just one month and hang on to the voucher for when Kirchhoff eventually comes out.
  15. Finally! A real sale!!! Xils is a big step up in quality from Cherry Audio. It's a bit more boutique than Cherry Audio's cheap and cheerful approach. But there's a demo available, it's worth demoing first to see if you like what they have to offer. Also, iLok required for the purchased version (not the demo though)
  16. Decided to jump on it. I like rewarding companies that offer attractive discounts. Still thinking about getting the Sampletekk piano bundle as well. Haven't had a chance to play with Hammers + Waves yet. Just installed it before work this morning.
  17. It's not the full set, just three of the ten in the "complete" bundle, but it's still a pretty good price to jump in and see what their stuff is like. I probably have no interest in the chime and prepared collections, and I think they should be including the wurly 145b in the electric collection and hope they do so at some point in the future. But it seems to be really well regarded so it's pretty good value considering what you get for $74.99.
  18. https://audioplugin.deals/hammers-waves-acoustic-by-skybox-audio/ Works with Kontakt Player
  19. Looks like MSRP USD $249 Introdctory price USD $149
  20. Gotta admit if it sounds exactly like the pedal I'll be pretty tempted by this once it goes on sale. They'll have a number of other plugins they can offer if this proves successful. Wonder if they're having trouble getting chips.

  24. Haha I love both UVI and Kontakt libraries, what I really like about them is that the investment is not dependent on the developer continuing to support a plugin into the future. Because NI and UVI make money out of all licensed library sales, it's practically guaranteed they'll keep the goose that lays the golden eggs. Just the other week I bought the VKS-20 library from Hollowsun. For those who don't recognise the name, Steve Howell was behind Hollowsun and sadly passed away 8 years ago this November. I only got back into music making in 2020 so I only came across Hollowsun in 2021 I think. But VKS-20 is a wonderful library that lives on and continues to be a joy to use. I really dig the EPiano 2 from the MKS-20. On the topic of this hammers + waves Wurlitzer 145B I really loved the warm amplified sound in Simon's video. Thankfully I found I have some Wurli tones in Neo Soul Keys 2 that are pretty close once I add a bit of room reverb. The main thing missing at this point is an ability to play the keys like Simon can!
