Kali Audio LP-8 8" Powered Studio Monitor (Each)
telecode 101 replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
anyone have thought on this. i think i am in the market for new monitors. i am starting to suspect my current one may be suffering from worn out electrical components inside the speakers. i believe i bought them in 1999 to something. -
lowest it had been.

when i bought from PB, I just logged into the Softube site and registered the code and the product show up on my list of products. From where I can download it or use the central manager. hope this helps.

They use iLok software to manage licenses. You will need to install iLok. I think their software manage will do it for you. https://www.softube.com/softube-central

FREE Mixbus Training + Multi-tracks with Purchase
telecode 101 replied to FranciscoJ's topic in Deals
This sort of makes a lot of sense. Thats where I saw mention of it in some indepth audio engineer forums where most of the people I guess are former tape engineers. The reason I am starting to look at this is, I am starting to get a little worried where Cubase will go. Plus they are an American company.. it's nice to support someone local. -
very funky!!

you gonna only get 10 pesos from me, eh..!!

bump!! ^^ anyone?? I am a big fan and user of IKM Saturator-X. It seems though, this is just a saturator. IKM Sat-X does a lot more than just saturator.

FREE Mixbus Training + Multi-tracks with Purchase
telecode 101 replied to FranciscoJ's topic in Deals
Thanks. that help. No. Nothing I do is time aligned or pitch corrected. Swing at 110% and any note goes. I started researching this because I am seeing some older audio engineers on GS that us it. Plus it has the hardware unit option, which is sort of interesting. What i don't quite get is why are people tracking in another DAW and just mixing in mixbus. I guess I will find out when I try it. -

Hmm.. looks like this deal is still live. Has anyone on here switched from Cubase to Mixbus? Thoughts? I make .. this kind of music. (In memoriam to the late Alan who passed recently.) -

Why Are The Apple M1, M1 Pro And M1 Max Chips So Fast?
telecode 101 replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I got one of the first gen M1's for my kid to do his school work. i think he is just screwing around with FL studio on it. it seems okay. fast i guess. but I can't really see a point to moving to this until my current DAW dies one day. my problem isn't computing power. my problem is completing shit. -
wow.. Softube on a roll trying to generate sales ..... hmm..

i can't post out of respect for the mods here. but if you look at my reply on Lemmy.. what is the genre of the song? ?

Tascam To Release New Cassettes For Portastudio
telecode 101 replied to Tim Smith's topic in The Coffee House
My thing with guitars, that I found , that works for me is, when you try it, you will know it's the one for you and you just have to buy it right there on the spot. If you walk away, you will come back a week later and it will be gone. Happens all the time. As far as quality goes. It's all relative. I have an expensive Ricky. I hate it. Well make instrument though. I have a few US Strats and a MIM tele.. The Tele is just as good as the US strats. Different guitar but fine for what it's meant to do. My fav is still my old Italian Eko from the 70s. I don't know what they made them with, but they knew how to make a good guitar that plays well.
