Does anyone have any ideas as to why re-recording tracks on top of existing tracks with the overwrite function doesn't seem to work? When I playback the updated track, I hear both old and new tracks (which was recorded on the same track/lane). Help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm trying to lay a guitar track down and am wondering if there's a function in Cakewalk that allows me to start recording a guitar track based on input monitoring thresholds? So I don't have to play record and rush to play the guitar where it takes 1-2 seconds. Thanks!

Yes, each vocalist has his/her own track. New to Cakewalk so not quite sure what you mean by sending them all to a bus, hopefully Google will provide some answers.
