  1. I don't know how I missed this, but thank you all!
  2. Hi, Is there a way to delete multiple track folders at once? This has annoyed me for a decade, I assumed there wasn't, and just deleted manually. Yesterday I needed to expedite work on one tiny section of a large project, so I deleted every track not related to the small thing I was working on. I now have 50+ empty folders with some nested folders at the bottom of my project. It's extra annoying since that's where I drag my new SFX to force new tracks. You can't ctrl+click or shift+click the folders. I honestly can't find a way to select multiple folders in any fashion. I'm sure there's some way to delete multiple folders, right? Thanks!
  3. For my workflow, I constantly need to measure time from one sound to another for implementation or to send to my engineer (e.g. Start File1, wait 870 ms, start File2 at volume 0 and fade in over 1250ms, wait 500ms, start File3). I did recently learn about setting the timeline to milliseconds and dragging a region, which is better than what I had been doing. (For the last 10 years, my normal go-to is just to drop a marker at the two spots, set my time view to time in ms, and just do the math in a calculator (33625-32000=1625ms between markers).) But I wish there was a better way, like having something in the "selection" module in the console that would also show total length of the selection. The selection module doesn't even follow the ruler format, and always shows in bars:beats. Another possibility, if you highlight a region, the "export" menu shows the project and selection in frames. This number format is also not affected by the time ruler format. Sometimes I'll just quickly use that and calculate it (5:15 = 5.500 sec) but it's not always accurate enough at 1/30 of a second (33 ms chunks). If we could force that to milliseconds, that would also be viable. While the timeline-drag does help, it forces you to memorize the number if you have to type it somewhere else, since when you release the mouse-drag, the number goes away. Also, since 85% of the time I'm composing music vs. sound design, switching the timeline ruler to milliseconds to measure becomes a tedious task. It's 8 clicks total (right click toolbar, click Time Ruler Format, select Milliseconds, select beginning and end of region, switch back to measures:beats). If there was a little selection length module, we could just drag a region, and have it show up there, and stay there while I open implementation software or an email to log the number. Thank you!
  4. Thank you all, this is great! I still wish there was just a way to highlight a region and see it in something like the selection bar, so I wouldn't have to keep switching my time ruler format and also lose my duration if I let go of the mouse to type the length into my spreadsheets. But this is still moderately faster than the math I was doing in a calculator. So thank you!
  5. Ahhh, thank you. Most of my clips will overlap, this won't work without just creating "dummy" clips just for that. It is a possible workaround though. Thank you for pointing this one out! Still hoping for something I've overlooked.
  6. Hi All, is there a way to quickly measure region length in seconds/milliseconds? For my workflow, I constantly need to measure time from one sound to another for implementation or to send to my engineer (e.g. Start File1, wait 870 ms, start File2 at volume 0 and fade in 1250ms, wait 500ms, start File3). For example, if you highlight a region, the "export" menu shows the project and selection in frames. This number format is not affected by the time ruler format. I would love just to shift-select the time bar and see the length in milliseconds. Thought I'd ask here to make sure I didn't miss something simple. Thanks!
  7. Sometimes when saving, all my plugin windows start blinking erratically when a save starts. The save can be auto or manual save. Once in a while the save eventually completes, but other times it will blink forever and the "saving" bar in the console stays on slightly above empty. Example I'm currently on build 2021.01 (Build 085, 64-bit) but this problem has been around for me for a while. This machine is on Windows 7. I feel like it doesn't happen when I first start projects but starts after I hit 170+ tracks or so, with lots of plugins and FX. Sometimes when it is bad, I only trigger saves with no plugins open, and when I forget that more than 2 or 3 are open, this happens. But if I close all plugin windows, it will save normally. Sometimes when triggering a save, the plugin windows will all blink briefly (giving me a heart attack) but then save normally. Also "HUDTimeNow" will constantly pop up and go away in the taskbar during the issue. It doesn't seem to matter which plugins are open or being used. Has anyone else ever had this happen? Sometimes it happens several times a day.
