  1. Thanks. I've definitely got it, and it works in new Sonar but only of I have CbB installed, even though it was actually first installed on this computer with SPLAT 32-bit and never deleted. That's what I'm finding so frustrating.
  2. Thanks for the replies. A few general comments: 1. Irrespective of what others have experienced, I have not had a single issue with TTS-1 (which I have "owned" since Sonar Eight) up until now. The fact that I can produce and reproduce the issue and the resolution of the issue through the sequence of steps I describe above leads me to believe this is not an issue of TTS-1 being unstable for the past several years, as some have suggested. 2. I rarely use TTS-1 now and used it only sparingly in the past. So I'm not facing an issue of finding a replacement for it. The reason I want it to work is pretty much solely so I can still go back and work on projects that I started years ago. I've already faced this issue with many DX plugins (old Native Instruments stuff, for example). Some have spoken of support for DX ending. Since the code for it already exists, I'm left wondering why "support" is such a burden on software companies that they feel the need to eradicate it. 3. I'm not clinging to old software and too tight to buy new - I've upgraded to every single version of NI Komplete when they were released. I just want to be able to open old projects that I thought were really good but that I have some new ideas for. Ironically, in the case of NI, I'm in luck if I had used the original Kontakt in a project, because that version was authorized with a serial number whereas NI quit authorizing new (online only) installations of Kontakt 2 just a few years ago.
  3. So I did this: I reinstalled CbB and tried to load TTS-1 in it. It loaded and worked fine - I could enter notes in the associated MIDI track and play them. Tried again in Sonar, no luck - entering MIDI notes in the MIDI track associated with TTS-1 crashed Sonar (no cash dialog, though). So I reinstalled Bandlab Sonar(leaving CbB installed) and voila - TTS-1 worked fine. So I uninstalled CbB, and again TTS-1 crashed Sonar. So I reinstalled CbB and then Bandlab Sonar again, and TTS-1 works fine in Sonar. Why is Sonar dependent on CbB being installed, especially since I am also licensed to use TTS-1 on this machine through SPLAT?
  4. So I decided to take the plunge and uninstall CbB. After uninstalling it, Sonar still sees TTS-1 and I can insert it as a synth, but attempting to enter MIDI notes into the associated MIDI track crashes it every time. Sometimes (but not always) I get the Crash dialog below. I tried reinstalling TTS-1 from my X3 installation files, but that did not fix the problem. I happen to have 32-bit SPLAT on my system, and it can still run TTS-1 just fine. I reinstalled CbB, and it can also run TTS-1 fine. So... did TTS-1 never run in Bandlab Sonar and I just never noticed that? I don't use it much, so that's possible. My interest in having it is to be able to open and edit a few old projects that did use TTS-1.
  5. Pretty sure I've seen something posted about this, but evidently I'm not searching right for it. 1. Does uninstalling CbB automatically uninstall TTS-1? 2. If the answer to #1 is generally yes, is that true even if TTS-1 was originally installed with SPLAT? 3. If the answer to #2 is yes, I assume I can still re-install it by re-installing SPLAT, correct? Regarding #3, I noticed that the installation of SPLAT doesn't give you the option NOT to install the program itself (unchecking box of what you do and don't want installed). Did that disappear after X3? Maybe because the installation of "extras" was done through Command Center? Yet Command Center does not have a separate option to install TTS-1. Was TTS-1 automatically installed by installing the program (SPLAT) itself?
  6. No luck here signing out and signing back in again. Even tried uninstalling (and doing a deep uninstall with Revo), but still no success.
  7. Didn't see your post and posted the same issue a little while ago. Signing out of Product Center and signing back in again didn't fix it for me. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling Product Center but no luck.
  8. Just sent my user ID. I did send a request to Support about 20 minutes ago. Thanks.
  9. So I tried uninstalling Cakewalk Product Center completely (using Revo) and reinstalling. Still no luck. Yet when I open Sonar and click "About Sonar," I see "License type: Membership." But I can't install any Membership-only features such as TH-U. Getting a little sour on this whole thing.
  10. Thanks, but I already tried that with no luck.
  11. Why am I being asked to "get membership" when I try to install the additional ProChannel modules. I already have a paid membership, am using the paid tier Sonar with no problems, and can clearly see in Product Center that I am logged in. Is there yet another payment tier required to install?
  12. Ah, I'll be that was it. I'm going to reinstall v2.5 now. Thanks! Edit: Just reinstalled with VST2 and all is well now. Thanks again!
  13. Yipes - that's probably in the documentation. Shame on me for not looking. Thanks!
  14. I've been using Addictive Drums since it became available with old Sonar. My standard new project template includes an Addictive Drums synth track and associated MIDI track, which outputs to a Drum Map that someone on the old forum kindly made available years ago. I recently updated AD 2 to AD 2.5. The installation wiped out old AD 2. As a result, all of my previous projects get a missing plugin placeholder for AD 2. I've used "Replace Synth" to replace it with AD 2.5. However, the drum map used as the AD 2 MIDI track's output has as an "Out Port" whatever the first plugin in the file is after AD 2. For example, I'm looking at a project right now where the drum map's Out Port is Reaktor 6 instead of AD 2.5 (which replaced the missing AD 2 plugin). The "Ports and Channels" section in Drum Map Manager does not appear to be editable, and the only way I have found to edit the Out Port in the main section is one note at a time - selecting multiple notes at a time doesn't appear to allow them to be editable, at least as far as the Out Port is concerned. I have an awful lot of projects affected by this. Any better way to change the Out Port back to Addictive Drums than one note at a time would be really helpful. Suggestions?
  15. I used to go for months without having to log in. Is this new? Intended?
  16. Thanks for the replies. I'm going to assume that the sysx data had nothing to do with the behavior of the plugin with the MIDI track and that it was just an anomaly.
  17. I've been using a Nektar LX49+ keyboard with Sonar/Cakewalk/Sonar for many years. I use it almost exclusively as a keyboard, not as a control surface. Just recently, I am seeing sysx data when I view the Event List in every MIDI file. Files older than the past few months don't have any sysx data. What's going on?? I discovered it when I encountered a situation where Arturia's Synthx V plugin was silent for many presets. If I export the recorded MIDI track and then re-import it, Synthx V plays fine. Not sure what the sysx data has to do with it, but even deleting the sysx events didn't make those presets work - only exporting and then importing. Is there something that got accidentally turned on in Preferences that I should turn off to avoid this?
  18. I just tried loading Sytrus and opening the UI and it works fine for me. So I don't think it's a global problem with Sytrus.
  19. Well, I used to know how to do this. If I want to, say, hide "channel" or "bank" in a MIDI track, how do I do it? thanks.
  20. Ah, I never knew about that. There's always something to learn, even after using Cakewalk / Sonar for more than 20 years. Thanks.
